Investment analysis; external sector balance and foreign exchange dynamics; and development economics

    • Mireille Joana Kadewa is an Economist with expertise in economic analysis, national policy evaluation and advisory and development planning.

    • She currently serves as a Development Planning Officer at Malawi’s National Planning Commission, where she leads in coordination of Malawi’s development plans and she generates evidence-based research to inform policy. Her role involves data-driven reporting, stakeholder engagement, and strategic alignment of development programmes.

    • Previously, Mireille worked as an Economist at the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Commission, where she evaluated conducted and evaluated PPP project appraisals and conducted monitoring and evaluation of the projects.

    • She has also consulted for the Cannabis Regulatory Authority and tutored economics at Nelson Mandela University in South Africa.

    • Mireille holds a Master of Commerce in Economics and a BCom Honours in Economics from Nelson Mandela University.
