Azar Huseyni, MA. 

Current affiliation: Eastern Mediterranean University (Cyprus)

Ahmad Walid Barlas, MA. 

Current affiliation: Ruhr University Bochum (Germany)

Research Interests:

 Migration, remittances and economic development

  • Ahmad Walid Barlas was accepted into the economics faculty of Balkh University and received his bachelor's degree in 2011.
  • He participated in an upgrading program (fellowship) at Ruhr University Bochum (RUB), Germany. This program was designed by the Institute of Development Research and Development Policy (IEE) for lecturers of economics faculties, for both public and private universities.
  • He received my Master's degree in Management and Economics from Ruhr University Bochum (RUB) in 2017.
  • He works as a lecturer of economics at Samangan Higher Education Institute.
  • He works as head of the business administration department, head of the research committee in the economics faculty, and head of curriculum development committee at the business administration department.

Nora Aboushady, Ph.D. 

Current affiliation: Cairo University (Egypt)

Research Interests:

 Trade policy, trade in services, trade facilitation

  • Nora Aboushady is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University.
  • She obtained her B.A. in Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University, a M.A. in International Economics from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po), and a Ph.D. in Economics from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po).
  • Nora has collaborated with the European Commission, the World Bank, the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD), the Organisation for Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Center for Economics of the University of Paris 1 Panthéon- Sorbonne, Bath University and with the University of Manchester.
  • Nora is a member of a number of research networks including the Economic Research Forum (ERF) and the Euro-Mediterranean Network for Economic Studies (EMNES). 

Munir Kashif, Ph.D. 

Current affiliation: Central University of Punjab (Pakistan)

Macroeconomics, Monetary Policy, International Trade, and Public Policy

  • He holds Ph.D. degree in Economics from the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE).
  • He was awarded a Master’s in Economics from the University of Punjab.
  • His research has been published in the top tier socio-economic journals i.e. Empirical Economics, Journal of the Asia Pacific Economy, Review of Public Economics, Applied Economics, Journal of Economic Studies, International Journal of Social Economics, Competitiveness Review, Applied Economics Quarterly, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, and Pakistan Development Review among others. 

Bashir Ssuna, MBCh.B, MCEB

Current affiliation: Makerere University (Ughanda)

Research Interests:

 HIV, Tuberculosis, Health Economics

  • Master’s of Science student in the Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics program, in Makerere University.
  • He is study coordinator at Uganda TB Implementation Research Consortium (U-TIRC) on a study aimed at Predicting and Preventing Tuberculosis Treatment Failure in an Emerging Co-Epidemic of HIV, Diabetes, and Tuberculosis. 
  • Completed online courses in Machine learning and Artificial intelligence for Data science with Harvard and Stanford Universities.

Fayq Al Akayleh, Ph.D.

Current affiliation: Al Yamamah University (Saudi Arabia)

  • Dr. Fayq Al Akayleh is working with FALCOM Holding as the Head of Investment Analysis Unit, Riyadh – Saudi Arabia.
  • He worked at Al Yamamah University (YU) as an Associate Professor of Economics and Business Feasibility Study Specialist. He was the former Director of Postgraduate Studies and the former Head of Quantitative Business Department (Finance, Insurance, and Accounting) at YU.
  • Dr. Al Akayleh also served as a member of different university councils such as the University Council, Postgraduate Studies and Research Council, and College of Business Administration Council at (YU).
  • He is a founding member of the College of Business Administration and the founder of the Quantitative Business Department at YU.
  • Dr. Fayq is the winner of the ‘Top 100 Leaders in Education Award’, GFEL, 16-19 Dec. 2019. He also was the winner of the ‘Distinguished Faculty Award 2017 at YU by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Bandar Al Saud.
  • During the period 01/01/2018 – 30/04/2019, Dr. Al Akayleh was the Faculty Chair for AACSB International Accreditation. He worked at Alfaisal University as an adjunct professor of International Economics. Before joining Al Yamamah University in 2008, He taught at the University of Jordan and served as a financial and administrative auditor in the Jordan Audit Bureau for 16 years.
  • He is a member in the following international business and research committees: Royal Economic Society (RES), American Economic Association (AEA), World Economics Association (WEA), International Development Economics Associates (IDEAS), Global Development Network-MENA Region-Featured member as in Oct 03 2012,



Mohamed Ismail Sabry, Ph.D. 

Current affiliation: Hochschule Bremen (Germany)

Macroeconomics, Institutional Economics, and Financial Economics

  • Ph.D. in Economics (Institutional Economics) from Philipps University of Marburg, Germany (2013), MA in Professional Development (2004) and BA in Economics (2000) both from the American University in Cairo (AUC).
  • Currently a Lecturer at Bremen University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule Bremen) and Fresenius University of Applied (Hochschule Fresenius), and previous Lecturer at the German University in Cairo (Berlin Campus).
  • Postdoctoral Researcher at Bremen City University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule Bremen) (2016-2018)
  • Published several monograph books in English and Arabic
  • Published several academic papers in peer-reviewed academic journals
  • Worked in a project of the United Nations Development Program in Egypt (2002-2003)
  • Worked on a project for intercultural exchange between Germany and Egypt sponsored by the German Foreign Ministry (2016).

Edgar Allan M. Uy, Ph.D.

Current affiliation: University of Santo Tomas (Philippines)

  • Edgar obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Santo Tomas in 2007.
  • He works as an adjunct professor at the University of Santo Tomas.

Oluwaseun Samuel Oduniyi, Ph.D.

Current affiliation: University of South Africa (South Africa)

Research Interests:

Fod security, Agriculture economics, Agronomy

  • Samuel is an Academic Research Fellow at the University of South Africa. His research uses applied econometrics, spatial data, interdisciplinary approaches, and insights from behavioral economics to study issues related to agriculture, ecology, environmental, and resource economics

  • His research focuses on agriculture and environmental economics, impact assessment, developmental economics, ecological economics, food security and household welfare, environmental management and policy, rural livelihood and development, climate change adaptation and resilience, climate change economic, and agro climatology. 

  • His current project is 'Sustainable land management for climate change adaptation and food security among rural farmers.
