Azar Huseyni, MA. 


Current affiliation: Eastern Mediterranean University (Cyprus)

I have studied Business Administration in my Undergraduate and Graduate study. I am interested in Data Science and Econometrics. I believe it is unavoidable to use open source software for academic purposes. I am learning R and python to use them for econometrics purposes. I am a Phd Student at the Eastern Mediterranean University at Business Administration program. I am interested in having international experience and be able to learn from European scholars.

Bashir Ssuna, MBCh.B, MCEB


Current affiliation: Makerere University (Ughanda)

I am a Master’s of Science student in the Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics program, which has given me skills on how to design and conduct different research types, analyze research data using STATA, R, SPSS and Python. Currently, I am a study coordinator at Uganda TB Implementation Research Consortium (U-TIRC) on a study aimed at Predicting and Preventing Tuberculosis Treatment Failure in an Emerging Co-Epidemic of HIV, Diabetes, and Tuberculosis. Under the same study, I am studying the cost-effectiveness of diabetes screening among TB patients. This position has enabled me to acquire more skills in research ethics and management.
My enthusiasm for predicting and preventing disease has pushed me to pursue online courses in Machine learning and Artificial intelligence for Data science with Harvard and Stanford Universities. This will help me develop complex machine learning models and algorithms to predict disease occurrence and prognosis in order to find primary preventive strategies, influence policy, and implement them for better health. Am looking forward to pursuing a Ph.D. in Epidemiology and Biostatistics in order to augment my skills to perfection.

Fayq Al Akayleh, Ph.D.

Current affiliation: Al Yamamah University (Saudi Arabia)

Currently, Dr. Fayq Al Akayleh is working with FALCOM Holding as the Head of Investment Analysis Unit, Riyadh – Saudi Arabia. He worked at Al Yamamah University (YU) as an Associate Professor of Economics and Business Feasibility Study Specialist. He was the former Director of Postgraduate Studies and the former Head of Quantitative Business Department (Finance, Insurance, and Accounting) at YU. Dr. Al Akayleh also served as a member of different university councils such as the University Council, Postgraduate Studies and Research Council, and College of Business Administration Council at (YU). He is a founding member of the College of Business Administration and the founder of the Quantitative Business Department at YU. Dr. Fayq is the winner of the ‘Top 100 Leaders in Education Award’, GFEL, 16-19 Dec. 2019. He also was the winner of ‘Distinguished Faculty Award’ 2017 at YU by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Bandar Al Saud.


During the period 01/01/2018 – 30/04/2019, Dr. Al Akayleh was the Faculty Chair for AACSB International Accreditation. He worked at Alfaisal University as an adjunct professor of International Economics. He is a guest speaker to Saudi TV Channel 2 (KSA TV 2). Before joining Al Yamamah University in 2008, He taught at the University of Jordan and served as a financial and administrative auditor in the Jordan Audit Bureau for 16 years. Dr. Al Akayleh also worked in the Jordan Ministry of Education as a mathematics teacher. Among others, He is a member in the following international business and research committees: Royal Economic Society (RES), American Economic Association (AEA), World Economics Association (WEA), International Development Economics Associates (IDEAS), Global Development Network-MENA Region-Featured member as in Oct 03 2012,

Ahmad Walid Barlas, MA. 


Current affiliation: Ruhr University Bochum (Germany)

This is Ahmad Walid Barlas from Samangan province, Afghanistan. After passing the National Kankor Exam, I was accepted into the economics faculty of Balkh University and received my bachelor's degree in 2011. I participated in an upgrading program (fellowship) at Ruhr University Bochum (RUB), Germany. This program was designed by the Institute of Development Research and Development Policy (IEE) for lecturers of economics faculties, for both public and private universities. Subsequently, I received my Master's degree in Management and Economics from Ruhr University Bochum (RUB) in 2017.
I work as a lecturer of economics at Samangan Higher Education Institute. Furthermore, I am working as head of the business administration department, head of the research committee in the economics faculty, and head of curriculum development committee at the business administration department.

Nora Aboushady, Ph.D. 


Current affiliation: Cairo University (Egypt)

Nora Aboushady is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University. She obtained her B.A. in Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University, a M.A. in International Economics from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po), and a Ph.D. in Economics from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po). Nora has collaborated with the European Commission, the World Bank, the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD), the Organisation for Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Center for Economics of the University of Paris 1 Panthéon- Sorbonne, Bath University and with the University of Manchester. Nora is a member of a number of research networks including the Economic Research Forum (ERF) and the Euro-Mediterranean Network for Economic Studies (EMNES).
