Due to the current workload of Macroeconomic modeling/CGE projects and associated training commitments, any new project or training requests from businesses or government entities should be planned with a minimum waiting period of 4 months before the desired start date.
New strategy to ensure that our trainees get the best out of their training
**Your name** (2020). Modeling macroeconomic effects of Covid-19 in comparison with past Corona pandemics. American Economic Review, 23(1).
Have you thought about tackling such a "hot" research question? Access to Top A-class journals is now easier than before, especially for well-modeled, robust, and innovative papers addressing any aspect related to the current pandemic.
You can use conventional methods to address this or similar research questions, but for your paper to place a landmark in your publication's profile, you need to use advanced and specialized approaches that are part of our structured training curriculum such as Global VAR, DCC under GMM, Computable General Equilibrium (CGE), Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium (DSGE) Modeling (check upcoming training groups here).
In an attempt to practically train graduates of our training programs, they will have the option to join/form research groups and write new discussion papers under the supervision of the academic council. These papers will be published in the MSR Working paper Series (SSRN and RePEc indexed). Also after approval, this research project can be funded and listed under the M&S Research Hub projects' list.
Anyone who completes either one of our structured econometrics modules (check our training modules here) or a private training about a specific econometric approach, will get the opportunity to write a paper as a single author or as a member of an author board using the taught methods and publish it in the MSR working paper series.
They are research groups comprised of internal and external members investigating topics that lie in the thematic interest of the institute (check our current projects here). The funding scheme covers all associated costs of proofreading, publishing the papers in referred journals, and presenting the projects' outputs primarily in the institute's annual GEC conference (check where the next conference takes place from here) and other globally recognized conferences. Project collaborators might receive a 100% fee waiver for GEC conference registration fees and might also receive travel and accommodation partial scholarships. Project collaborators are also entitled to a 10% discount on any booked training and events.
