Mapping the Future: Evolving Perspectives of Global Economy
The geopolitical and economic map of the world is redrawn. Governments around the world are facing health crises, economic turbulence, institutional & governance challenges, above and beyond all at a time of geopolitical rivalry. War in Yemen involving regional powers competing for influence, Iran-USA tension since 2018 that was escalated this year after the US assassination of the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Conflict over Nile river between Egypt and Etiopia, protest movements against Lebanon political system, Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) trade agreement between fifteen countries in the Asia-pacific region is planned to be signed this year, the US elections in November 20202, oil war between Saudi Arabia and Russia, Mediterranean conflict over natural gas reserves. A drastic change is coming, yet it is indecisive in which direction and how it will affect the ways we live.
